I would if I could. I hope they include us Steam users in the Beta party sometime.

Anything different from build 10?

I just found it this morning and have taken a short flight with everything seeming to work well.  There are no release notes posted yet, but I did notice one glitch I was having in the menu area having gone away.  I could not stay in the advanced button setting area for long without it just freezing up.  This morning, after the update, it seems to be working fine.

:-(

They really should change that ...

It is my understanding that that might be a Steam thing Jose...    That's what I think I have heard said in that they don't want to mess with the potential problems.

Yes, but although I only used Steam to by a couple of MS FLIGHT DLCs, FSX:SE and Cliffs of Dover, I am aware that at least one of these games had a "beta" version allowed mode, so that we could try beta versions before the final stable releases.

Maybe they could do the same with XP10.

Ben has explained why Steam does not get Betas. Its because they would have to cut two different versions of X-Plane. Ben's Quote

"No. As I have said before, we are not running the public beta process over steam. Doing so would double the development time of pushing beta builds."

The other download version does get beta updates I think.

I just emailed their customer service because I have to be 100% sure that it will allow betas before I purchase it.

Thanks, that makes is easy then. One question, does Xplane charge for a new version like PD3 does, such as when Xplane 11 comes out will we have to buy it again?

X-Plane 11 is at least 3, probably 4 years away, but you can expect completely free support for the life of X-Plane 10.

Yes, Laminar Research does charge for new versions, just like how you have to re-buy new versions of Adobe software, Windows OSes or Office (though all three are moving to a subscription-based model).

But don't worry - X-Plane through Steam is far cheaper than P3D.
