Folks,

After years of running FSX I have hit an issue I cannot resolve.

This issue now effects all platforms namely, FSX would run smooth as glass with pay ware airports , aircraft and weather....

for the last few months though I have started noticing lagging juddering on the taxi, turns and panning... panning seems slow and the edge of the cockpit frames work seems to give the impression that as you pan each line is being drawn although fps is at 30?

So pulled off Win 7 clean install Win 10 did not help same issue tried FSX/ SE same issue tried P3D same issue.

Tried all through NI but no difference and P3D just ignores NI set at 30 half synch and set 60 in the sim it goes to 60 so it is not working there but I doubt that is the issue..

However run FSX or SE in DX 10 much better...until you add a payware aircraft then back to the above....

I have check all components all temps even change my 770 for 970 thinking faulty GC...expensive mistake no difference!

Could the BUS on the MB not be working and bottlenecking?..just looking for some inspiration here..as I now just do not know what else to look at...

Has anyone had this issue before

Have re over clocked again from scratch....i7 2600 at 4.5 16 gb ram p8z 68 MB Asus..

So could this be a monitor issue that is lagging? but appears ok? is the EDiD corrupt?

Thanks All

Mark

Wow! No one has any ideas !

This has stumped me after years with FS, reluctant to go get another monitor or new cpu motherboard.. Just thought it was a software issue.

All the best

Are you using trackir?

Also, a 970 can easily bottleneck a 2600k.

Thanks for your reply, no track ir in use, this issue started with Win 7 and with my gtx 770 which I though was the issue hence getting the 970 but alas no change..just not sure what to do next. Some how need to try on a mother monitor to rule that out then I am thinking an internal MB fault.

What is strange is DX 10 stops this but that is only a preview mode..and DX11 in P3d you would think would be better but gives same result as DX 9.

If I run the default planes in unlimited P3d it is not so bad......I wonder if Nvidia have been fiddling around with the vsynch in their drivers to accommodate the new Gsync monitors....will have to keep digging to find this cause...otherwise I may well hanger the lot! At this time

Many thanks

What AM are you using? Check the core usage. If you have any of them spiking to 100% it could cause that

Thanks AM is 14 it is 4 core been like that all the time, have tried a clean fresh Cfg file as well no dice..

Just seems to not like dx 9 anymore FSX was always smooth with this rig but this juddering whilst taxing and panning/turning is bad...I would hazard a guess it is the monitor refresh rate but the only way I van confirm is trying another...or I have a bad bottleneck but where is the question!

Thanks for you help and suggests much appreciated..

Cheers

Use this: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

then do a fresh install of your nvidia drivers: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/geforce-355-82-whql-driver-download.html

Try looking at the log files in windows event viewer and see if there is something occurring at the time you see the juddering.

Do you run any other games/software on this rig? Notice any problems with those or just FS?

Tried checking your hard drive for errors? Any blue screens of death in windows?
