Clouds in P3D w/ASN+Softclouds are amazing - [MANY VC shots inside]

Recommended Posts

Just thought I post a collection of some VC shots ++ of nice looking clouds in P3D. Mostly pics from overcast settings. I am sorry for not cropping away the frame counter and EZCA zoom indication.

Great shots!

You know, one of the changes that I recently made seem to make a big difference, even with "stock" clouds (and using ASN). Simply move the cloud density slider down to medium. Got rid of the "popcorn clouds" and even the default clouds seem to look smoother and more fluid...

Yes, correct! I sat my down to "high" instead of "Maximum" and that made the difference for me.

Still thought, I am not satisfied with how P3D+ASN simulates thunderstorms. It is usually just a lump of clouds with occasional thunder/lightning and a lot of holes in the sky. I don't know about you but in my experience, every thunderstorm usually comes with a solid overcast.

The night one with the NG looks pretty hot...  getting really close to XP10 at night!
