Uninstalling Orbx sceneries

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

since my harddisk space is becoming somewhat constrained and I don't need all my sceneries all the time, I thought about deinstalling some of them to make room for new addons. Orbx consumes quite a lot of space, but I'm puzzled how to deinstall properly... any pointers? I'd like to deinstall AYPY (Port Moresby Intl and openLC Europe if that information is of any help. Many thanks!

There you can find how to uninstall ORBX airports, regions, or everything. There are three separate topics on the first page.

You might also want to think about moving the files to another hard drive and then create a symbolic link (symlink) to the moved folder to make it look like it is still there.

Thanks to you both, these are very useful suggestions. I might migrate the sim to a completely empty 1 TB hard disk though, since it is still my original install from 2013 when I first started using FSX and was unaware of how big sceneries had become... additionally I have had good experiences with keeping it as slim as possible and uninstalling addons when I don't need them.
