CDU preflight not complete?

Hey pilots!

 

Hard to explain because I dont know whats missing.. But at the before start checklist my FO states "cdu not complete".

The strange thing was that the checklist than gets stuck and the ecl stays open in popup.

No restart of cl possible nor "set and checked" helped.

 

One thing that was not entered was the STAR for arrival... will the FO have it in preflight?

 

Maybe it was a onetimer, but I thought I ask for experiences.

The STAR doesn't need to be selected to have the CDU preflight complete.

 

I believe the following have to be entered at the minimum to get passed through the checklist:

_ Origin and destination airports

_ Route (even with discontinuity)

_ Perf page complete

_ Takeoff calculations (V speeds).

_ IRS aligned

At my last flight all goes the right way! I double checked for discos and selected an alternate. My FO was happy and completed the checklist.
