Approach To Kodiak Airport's Ultra Icy Runway 25

Shalom and greetings all my pals,

Presenting an approach to very icy runway 25 of PADQ Kodiak Benny Benson State Airport located four nautical miles southwest of the central business district of Kodiak on Kodiak Island in the U.S. state of Alaska. The airport was renamed Benny Benson State Airport in honor of the designer of the Alaskan state flag.

Lightning brightens the nose of the plane



Whoa whoa waters of Monashka Bay are frozen



Seconds before touchdown



TOUCHDOWN



Braking down very icy runway is NOT easy as it took almost whole runway to stop the plane!!



Look at how icy the runway is while the plane is exiting into taxiway F toward cargo apron

Great pics... What software are you using to simulate the ice, and does it actually have an impact on braking upon landing?

FSX has default icy runways if set in winter settings but the screenshots that you see are edited by me using editing software to make the runways more icy.

 

When I landed on Kodiak airport's runway in winter settings, I noticed that the wheels were locked and braked but they kept sliding along the runway.
