August 10, 200520 yr I've downloaded a number of landable carriers onto my FS2002. I'd like to move some of them to more familiar locations around the coast line of Wales, where I live. I've tried to research the subject but with little success. Can anyone out there tell me what to do. I think I need to change the lats and longs in the bgl files but that's as far as I have got.Thanks!David:-zhelp
August 11, 200520 yr There's a file on Avsim named "cvn71_tutorial.zip" that tells you how to use Rwy12 to place copies of the MS default (I think) carrier whereever you want. The FS carrier is ugly enough to stop a clock, so that may not be what you want. The next good place to check is fs-shipyards.org, which has the Nimitz carrier available. I think it's an AI model. Should be on Avsim, too.--LBritton
August 11, 200520 yr Dear FriendMany thanks for your reply. I came across the tutorial you mention but it was for FS2004 and not for my version which is FS2002 - I think the method used to create scenery has changed between the two versions. Also RWY12 seems to work for FS2004 only.I'll look up fs-shipyards as you suggest.ThanksDavid:-)
August 12, 200520 yr Donny AKA ShalomarFly 2 ROCKS!!!The FS Shipyards Nimitz V1 and V2 as downloaded must be "flown", V3 also provides an option for AI. Still haven't figured out how to set that up and land on it. I don't want any other traffic, just the carrier.Best regards, Donny:-wave
