Hallo Guys,

I need help with the following issue:

I recently bought REX4 Texture direct on simplanet.com.

After install i try to start up but i get a pop-up message saying: Your SQL Server is either corrupt or has been tempered with (unknow package id) Please uninstall then re-run setup to correct this problem.

i uninstalled the SQL server and also REX4 and then install them again but no result.

Does anybody know a fix for this problem?

Check to see if the SQL Server Service is started.  For Windows 7, click on Start and type services in the search box and then look up in the Menu for Services.  SQL Server should be set to Automatic.  Check the AVSIM CTD Guide, page 2 on checking your Event Viewer (Admin Events) and see what it says is wrong.  Fix.

I have the same issue... any help?

I found a solution but not sure it will work - http://www.avsim.com/topic/430364-rex-4-not-working-because-of-net-framework-45/

Also page 9 of their manual shows where it is installed with REX4 - http://www.realenvironmentxtreme.com/rex4td_install.pdf and is required for proper installation. Page 8 of the manual says to not install it into the Program Files (x86) area because of too much security.  If you did, I would reinstall into a folder outside of the Program Files (x86) area like maybe C:\REX4.

You should also make sure UserAccessControls (UAC) are disabled and any anti-virus or malware program is set to exclude the folder where you are installing the product and FSX or just disable them until the product is installed.

To disable UAC, click on the Start button, type User Access in the search bar and then look up in the menu and click on How to Change User Access Control Settings.  When UAC opens up, pull the slider all the way down to the bottom to disable.

I found a possible solution to this issue, anything to help the community with possible issues as this.

Check if you don't have 2 slq servers ''Like Express 2012'' and ''sql 2014'' remove one and reboot the pc.

2nd Possible Solution.

 Install uiautomationcore.dll in the rex4 root folder, in syswow64 if you have a 64 bits sistem.

3rd Try to repair the framework/sql server if you have only 1 sql version.
