September 19, 201510 yr Don't want to spend over eight grand on a 4K if I won't be able to use it with my flight deck. Wait for the 8K monitors later this year. Cheers, Rob.
September 19, 201510 yr Hi Rob, Not sure I'll be able to afford an 85" 8K. Had a hard enough time convincing my wife to turn a blind eye on my six figure flight deck. http://www.ubergizmo.com/2015/09/sharp-85-inch-8k-tv-130k/ Wait for the 8K monitors later this year. September 19, 201510 yr Prices will drop .. they always do, just have to wait a year or two unless you're budget can support early adoption. Besides, probably need nVidia's next gen GPUs due out next year to work 8K (and Skylake X series CPUs). That's the beauty of technology Today's top tier is middle tier in 2 years and low tier in 3-4 years (with prices to match) ... it's always been that way with technology for the masses. Cheers, Rob.
September 19, 201510 yr Hi Rob, I hear ya, been chasing/purchasing hardware (CPU/GPU/MB/RAM) over the years in regards to FS. I really don't want to wait another year or two to complete my flight deck, I've been waiting close to 15 years after making the decision to build one (most delays with the build relating to space and timing issues). As long as I won't have any issues with the 85" 4K and have great day/night visuals, good dusk night visuals are a must since I enjoy dusk/dawn flights and spend most of my time there. I know I don't say it nearly enough around here, Thanks Rob... you are a big help to the P3D community.. myself included! September 19, 201510 yr I'm inclined to watch whats happening over at Dovetail with their FSX Steam Edition, they have indicated an ongoing commitment for improvement.

September 19, 201510 yr Now that got to be a sign of something immanent! :-) Sure looks like it. Which reminds me of PMDG when they are about to release a product. Only difference is that PMDG likes to use very high price value , to let us know that is not available to be purchase for 150,000,000 i think that was the price .
