In order for the weather radar to work, you must have ASN running and sending weather to FSX.

If your question is about the WX radar system itself, see FCOM vol.2, the PMDG models the Collins radar set. Description starts on page 11.10.32.

Thanks Joseph,

I don't have ASN, I'm using REX version 3, I bought the version 4 too but not using it for now. It should work with the PMDG w.radar ?

From the product page (emphasis added):

  • Weather Radar - included free as part of the SP1 update, the PMDG 737NGX features a working simulation of the Collins WXR-2100 weather radar. In conjunction with the Active Sky Next weather engine addon, the radar depicts actual precipitation returns (not clouds!) and gives you full control over tilt, gain and radar mode including turbulence and windshear detection.

ASN is the only weather addon that reports precipitation accurately enough for PMDG to build a realistic weather radar.

OK, that's my issue :-) didn't read that, thanks to pointing me in the good direction, I will consider to buy ASN.

I finally bought Active Sky Next, I have turned off my firewall, but still noting in the DU when I enable the WX option from the EFIS.

Any ideas ?

Is there weather to be seen? Remember that a weather radar is not a cloud finder - it finds precipitation.

You're right Kyle ! Thanks !
I changed my ASn to Manual mode, select heavy rain and now it works !
Do you have an idea why why rain stop after 5 minutes ?

That's a HiFi/ASN question, honestly.
