Prepar3d V3 and My Traffic 6

Featured Replies

Seems like there still is a huge gap between your i7-4790K@4,6 and my I7-4770K@4,6GHZ.

None SLI  - we have almost identical cards (GTX780 vs GTX970) and still you have 88FPS where i can manage 60FPS.

Thats a 46% increase in FPS.

Might need to upgrade my CPU/Motherboard/RAM some time in the future

If you have vsync on and working, it'll constrain your frame rate to the next lower value of your monitor refresh rate divided by an integer, i.e. for a 60 Hz monitor, a frame rate of 88 fps will be constrained to 60, a frame rate of 45 will be constrained to 30, etc etc.  That probably explains why you don't see anything higher than 60.

  • Ok, here goes ...  First you need to add the AI aircraft to the sim. You do that by adding the path to the MT6 aircraft folder to P3D "simobjects.cfg", in the same way that the configurator does for

Nope but a good point but i have been in this business to long to know all these tricks  :Tounge:

But it did look like a clear sky on his pictures so i desided to do so and now i am at 66fps

Hi Penz, thanks for posting this.

I tried your method but don't see any airline traffic. There was some GA traffic, but airlines - nothing.

Any thoughts on why this might happen? Did you have to do anything at all in MyTraffic Communicator? From what you wrote, I imagine that nothing needs to be done, as the update to simobject.cfg is what comminucator does when it localises.

Tried a few different airports, with airline traffic set to 100%. Was working OK in v2.5.

Cheers,

Rob

No Rob, you should not have to do anything in Communicator.

The symptoms point to something wrong with the path you added to the P3D v3 "simobjects.cfg".

I just set mine up last night and it works fine. Here is exactly what I did. (My "My Traffic 6" is installed on C:\My Traffic. Obviously, your paths may vary):

#1

C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\simobjects.cfg

Add this to the end:

[Entry.10]   //(put whatever number comes next. Probably 10)

Title=MyTraffic Vehicles

Path=C:\MyTraffic Professional\MyTraffic\Aircraft

Required=True

Active=True

#2

Then go to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\Scenery\World\scenery

Rename trafficAircraft.bgl file to trafficAircraft.bgl.passive

#3

Start the sim and go to the tabs: world : scenery library

Then, select “add area”

Browse to MyTraffic Professional in C:

Add the path:

C:\MyTraffic Professional\My Traffic

Press enter. Move it down the list a few.

Done

#4

Make sure settings complexity is up to dense and aircrafts slider is set up

Ive Dl the new patch but the error log just goes mad all MY6 errors just like before.

Lol David that's odd.

At what airport were you, and did you use the 2015 schedules?

And, silly question but i have to ask, are you sure that you installed the fixes correctly?

- Jens Peter "Penz" Pedersen

EGNX

Put patch in MT6 folder and double left clicked to run. the pop up window looked like it was running though the aircraft.

Am sure am running 2015

OK that's one I missed - the CRJ 2MX. Just checked my notes. Thanks David, I'll get that fixed.

I thought I had fixed all aspects of the "xlmflap.wav" issue, the missing sound file is included in my patch. I must have missed one use of it. It is located in the CRJ700 (CRJ7MX) sounds folder and called from the CRJ700 soundai, and that sound set is used by several aircraft. I'll try hanging out at EGNX a bit. :smile:

The FSUIPC error is of course unrelated to MT6.

- Jens Peter "Penz" Pedersen

It works for me guys but an observation is that the v3 standard ai have the lights at night showing from a distance but the my traffic 6 still suffer from not seeing the lights until they are really close
