Prepar3d V3 and My Traffic 6

Featured Replies

I apologize for my ignorance. Is the error log you are referring to a P3D error log or a My TrafficX error log and how do you turn it on?

Thanks,

Ted

  • Ok, here goes ...  First you need to add the AI aircraft to the sim. You do that by adding the path to the MT6 aircraft folder to P3D "simobjects.cfg", in the same way that the configurator does for

I was referring to the P3D v3 error logging Ted. It's turned on by default, but you can turn it off in one of the settings pages in-sim.

As has also been stated by PMDG staff here in their AVSim support forum, the P3d error logging is buggy and misleading. Turn off both error logging options within the P3d UI and don't worry about this. The error logging is designed for developer use. Making unofficial changes to products that generate these errors may void your ability to obtain support from the authors.

Well if PMDG staff says so it's obviously correct. :Tounge:

You're right, it's nothing to make a big deal about and these syntax errors in various configuration files should be eliminated. But that's for the developer to do.

I do not have a Simobjects.cfg in v3? Need Help?

Well, you pointed the scenery entry to the Aircraft folder for starters.

Point it to the MyTraffic folder.

  • 2 weeks later...

This worked well for me.  But, I note that I'm not hearing the names of the AI airlines just the flight numbers from ATC.  I transferred over airlines.cfg as well as the ATC sound files from 2.5.

I'm sorry for my ignorance, but I'm trying to find these files...can you tell me where the original airlines.cfg and ATC sound files from 2.5 are located?

PC: AMD 9850X3D, RAM 64GB, Geforce GTX 5090 (32GB), MSFS 2020, MSFS 2024, Pimax Super 50PPD, Quest 3

Airlines.cfg should be in C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3 (or 2.5).  The sound file should be in the main program file:  Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\sound\ATC
