as copied from an Avsim post a long time ago...for everything 747-200/100 read -300.cheersJP.p.s,i do not know the original author,but it wasn't me,that's for sure :)----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi guys, As promised I have merged the Posky model with the RFP panel and FDE. I have been testing the merge since yesterday when the 2nd Generation panel came out. You should all be familiar with how to set up the provided files so here we go. Remember you need to have RFP V2 installed to make this merge work. (DON'T TRY TO USE THIS ON RFP V1!!!) This is what you need to do: (This example is for getting a Cargo Posky-RFP merge!) 1/ Go to any one of the RFP Freighters (located in your aircraft folder). A/ Copy the "panel" folder & paste it into any of the Posky freighter aircraft. (Let windows overwrite any files that were already there.) B/ If you want to use the new RFP sounds then you should do the same for the "sound" folder. C/ Go into the RFP model folder and copy the freighter.mdl file and paste it into the Posky model folder. (Do not copy the model.cfg file!) (RFP has put a lock on the 2nd G panel. There are 2 things I know about flightsim! You can't prevent another model from being used. LOL, it took me 5 minutes to solve the problem! What RFP did was put a link from the panel to the MDL file. In order for the RFP panel to get activated the panel looks to see if a valid model file is located in the model folder of the aircraft that is calling for the panel: eg. freighter.mdl, pax.mdl, & combi.mdl. Luckily we have a model.cfg that tells flightsim which model to use! ) 2/ The aircraft.cfg, the airfile, and the 2 .txt files to the posky aircraft folder. Overwrite the aircraft.cfg replace the following categories with the provided data: Contact points Flap settings Lights Smoke System You can copy and paste this information into the aircraft.cfg Data: point.0=1, 66.8, 0.0, -13.833, 1574.8, 0.000000, 5.826899, 70.0 ,0.700, 0.610, 0.518, 14.000000, 14.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000 point.1=1, -20.5, -17.3, -15.533, 1574.8, 1.000000, 5.826899, 6.0 ,2.520, 1.000, 0.651, 18.000000, 18.000000, 2.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000 point.2=1, -20.5, 17.3, -15.533, 1574.8, 2.000000, 5.826899, 6.0 ,2.520, 1.000, 0.651, 18.000000, 18.000000, 3.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000 point.3=2, -70.7, -102.0, 6.0, 1574.8, 0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000 ,0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000, 5.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000 point.4=2, -70.7, 102.0, 6.0, 1574.8, 0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000 ,0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000, 6.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000 point.5=2,-126.6, 0.0, 5.8, 1574.8, 0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000 ,0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000, 9.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000 point.6=2, 66.8, 0.0, 5.8, 1574.8, 0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000 ,0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000, 4.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000 static_pitch=1.00 static_cg_height=13.625 gear_system_type=0 This is my modified Flap settings: type = 1 // 1 - tail, 2 - lead span-outboard = 0.5 // 0.0 .. 1.0 extending-time = 49 // seconds flaps-position.0=0.000000,0.000000 flaps-position.1=6.665409,0.000000 flaps-position.2=13.330818,0.000000 flaps-position.3=19.996227,0.000000 flaps-position.4=26.661636,0.000000 flaps-position.5=33.327045,0.000000 flaps-position.6=39.992454,0.000000 damaging-speed = 200 // KIAS blowout-speed = 250 // KIAS lift_scalar = 0.23 drag_scalar = 1.00 pitch_scalar= 1.00 system_type = 1 //Hydraulic type = 1 // 1 - tail, 2 - lead span-outboard = 0.2 extending-time = 49 // seconds flaps-position.0=0.000000,0.000000 flaps-position.1=6.665409,0.000000 flaps-position.2=13.330818,0.000000 flaps-position.3=19.996227,0.000000 flaps-position.4=26.661636,0.000000 flaps-position.5=33.327045,0.000000 flaps-position.6=39.992454,0.000000 damaging-speed = 200 // KIAS blowout-speed = 250 // KIAS lift_scalar = 0.23 drag_scalar = 1.000 pitch_scalar=-15.00 system_type = 1 //Hydraulic type= 2 span-outboard= 0.800 extending-time= 3.000 system_type= 1 damaging-speed= 250.000 blowout-speed= 300.000 lift_scalar=-1.00 drag_scalar= 0.000 pitch_scalar=-15.25 flaps-position.0= 0.000, 0.000 flaps-position.1= 0.500, 0.000 flaps-position.2= 1.000, 0.000 type= 2 span-outboard= 0.800 extending-time= 3.000 system_type= 1 damaging-speed= 250.000 blowout-speed= 300.000 lift_scalar=-1.00 drag_scalar= 0.000 pitch_scalar=0.00 flaps-position.0= 0.000, 0.000 flaps-position.1= 0.000, 0.000 flaps-position.2= 1.000, 0.000 type= 2 span-outboard= 0.800 extending-time= 3.000 system_type= 1 damaging-speed= 250.000 blowout-speed= 300.000 lift_scalar= -0.2 flaps-position.0= 0.000, 0.000 flaps-position.1= 0.000, 0.000 flaps-position.2= 1.000, 0.000 This is what I used for my modified Lights light.0 = 1, 65.200, 0.600, 19.100, Opensky_beacon , light.1 = 1, 13.900, 0.000, -7.080, Opensky_beacon , light.2 = 2, -41.600, -94.400, 8.800, fx_strobeh , light.3 = 2, -41.600, 94.400, 8.800, fx_strobeh , light.4 = 3, -122.3, -0.250, 12.300, Opensky_nav_yellow , light.5 = 3, -122.3, 0.250, 12.300, Opensky_nav_yellow , light.6 = 2, -121.5, 0.000, 11.450, fx_strobeh , light.7 = 3, 83.55, 0.000, 14.850, fx_vclighth , light.8 = 9, -111.1, -4.500, 43.750, Opensky_wing_light , // <-----3 previously light.9 = 9, -111.1, 4.500, 43.750, Opensky_wing_light , // <-----3 previously light.10= 5, 17.7, -29.200, -2.000, Opensky_nacelle_refl , light.11= 5, 17.7, 29.200, -2.000, Opensky_nacelle_refl , light.12= 5, 50.9, -11.700, 0.000, Opensky_nacelle_refl , light.13= 5, 50.9, 11.700, 0.000, Opensky_nacelle_refl , light.14= 5, 56.9, -13.700, 1.900, Opensky_nacelle_refl , light.15= 5, 56.9, 13.700, 1.900, Opensky_nacelle_refl , light.16= 5, 83.067, 0.000, -2.000, Opensky_nacelle_refl , light.17= 3, 79.1, -6.500, 6.000, Opensky_nacelle_refl , light.18= 3, 44.79, -4.500, 6.000, Opensky_nacelle_refl , light.19= 3, -47.11, 0.000, -3.000, Opensky_wing_light , This is what I did to the smoke system! or did I do anything? hmmm don't remember anymore! smoke.0=0, -29.767, -86.167, Opensky_vortex smoke.1=0, -29.767, 86.167, Opensky_vortex Please note that I am not an expert at doing aircraft.cfg edits or anything like that. I have recalculated the positions of the points via math and can't say for sure if my math skills are accurate. Remember that this mod was done within the 15 mins of the panels release, when I decided that RFP's 747 model was just about as ugly as they came. I have done no modification since that date and I don't think I'll be doing any anymore modifications as I feel that the merge works good enough for me.
