P3Dv3 Pushback Problem

I noticed that Shift-P followed by 1 or 2 no longer lets the aircraft turn left or right. The aircraft can only be pushed straight back from the gate. This feature definitely worked in P3Dv2.5. Not a huge problem in most circumstances. Could someone else please test this?

Don't know if this is related but I tried a pushback in the ng and it failed to turn as specified and I ended up on the grass. I thought the pmdg pushback system was basically a fancy interface for the standard pushback system do this would support that there is a problem with it.
