Why Does Microsoft Need a Physics Engine?

Maybe they got a taste and decided to buy. I remember havok physics was big in MSFLIGHT (and worked very well)

 

Could it be they intend to have a physics engine become a part of DirectX?


We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

Havok has been part of some of the biggest games out there and seeing as Microsoft studios have been releasing some of the biggest games of the last decade it makes sense that they are constantly looking to expand and improve.

I'm thinking that this has to do with Azure - The MS Cloud.  Maybe they want to get into the Weather Media market.

Hopefully now Intel can concentrate and push the clock towards 6.0GHz as a restarting point. Right off the bag. Without OC.
