Parallel Install P3Dv2 and P3Dv3 How do I

Recommended Posts

Guest JustanotherPilot

I have downloaded the latest Prepar3D 737ngx installer and wish to have a parallel installation so that I can use P3D v2 (which is already installed) until all addon installers are available for P3D v3. When I run the installer there is no provision or choice between v2 and v3, I am only asked if I wish to modify repair  or delete my existing installation. I chose modify thinking that there would be an option to install v3 but the install did some sort  of function, I noticed hardrive activity and a message appeared telling me  the product had been installed.

I checked my P3D v3 Airplane folder - no 737ngx. The forums are a bit vague on v3 installation procedures. What have I done wrong or have missed?

just run v3 setup and choose a different root folder,

they both install and work fine side by side

Hi Kyle,

nop, no relation

Gotcha - I went to high school with a guy who has the same name, and he was in my Aerospace class, too. Crazy.
