Yup, just found My 1 year old HP deskjet printer (which supports windows 8) is unsupported for windows 10.

So you don't have Windows 10, yet you know your printer isn't compatible?

Yes, its very easy to go to the device manufacturer and look up windows 10 compatibility for the device. In this case, the manufacturer says not supported, no drivers, and recommends you look into one of their nice new printers that does work with windows 10

 

It's made more complex because this is a wireless printer, requiring specific software.

Not trying to tell you your business. I thought it was strange that a 1 year old printer would be unsupported. I went to this site and found that my 3 year old printer is supported. I print wirelessly as well:

When I say 1 year old I mean I brought it a year ago. Actually it is about 3 years old.

Total BS by HP... It seems a lot of hardware/peripheral companies are taking advantage of the "W10 hype" by saying their products aren't compatible so that people buy their new ones. But let's be honest, who changes printers every few years? Edited October 5, 2015 by linux731

Well of course its BS. They want me to get a new printer. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the printer works fine on windows 10, just HP is not going to bother supporting that.

I made several test with two image between Win7 and Win 10 Pro x64, all test with system clean, only drivers. My list of addons in my FSX: PMDG ( MD 11/B737/777), MD 82 Maddog, Concorde flight labs. Sceneries installed: all Brazil, all Aerosoft, all ORBX, all Taxi 2 Gate, all Latinvfr, all Flytampa, etc ... around 800 total sceneries , 300gb of addons inside of FSX. My machine configuration: Intel 3960X @4.8 + Sli 780TI + 960gb SSD + 16Gb DDR3 2400 C9 Corsair Dominator .

I have sure, like 1 + 1 is 2 .. Windows 7 work better than Windows 10. I lost around 10 FPS when was Windows 10 in same condition comparing Windows 7.

 

Also my FSX working more instable on Windows 10, I have more than 3 crash, i don´t know why, so I decide back to Windows 7.

I have the HP Photosmart 7960 printer that I got when XP was still the OS.   Soon after purchasing, Microsoft released Vista and then Windows 7 and HP officially stated they would not update drivers for the new OS's.  Still, Microsoft has released drivers with limited functionality and it does what I want it to do.  I am positive HP could have easily updated the drivers for the new OS's but, like some others have indicated, they do not update so many will go out and buy a new printer.  I am still buying their expensive ink cartridges so do not understand why they should not update the drivers as new ink cartridges are really where they make the money.  If the printer does not work when I eventually upgrade to Windows 10, I'll get rid of it as it has been good to me for many years now.

I have an Epson photo printer because I do a lot of photography, which is my main hobby. It is so old that I can't remember exactly when I brought it. I think I was on XP at the time. I have had 2 desktop computers and 2 laptops since and am now on windows 10. I have had no problems at all with drivers. 

I should mention that my current desktop which has FSX onit started out as windows 7 and Has been upgraded first to windows 8 then 8.1 and now on windows 10.

I have done all this without doing a clean install and wonder sometimes when I see people on here having problems after doing clean installs if by trying to do the right thing, they are actually giving themselves problems.

Windows 10 trashed my bluetooth keyboard and no amount of added or updated drivers would make it work. Lot of complaints about bluetooth not working with 10 so I hope they get this fixed eventually.

Actually my sound card also is having problems. SoundBlaster Recon Pcie. Sometimes Windows 10 sees it, often it doesn't. Sometimes it sees it then drops it after a few hours. There are windows 10 drivers from the manufacturer, but they apparently only work intermittently for a lot of people.

What I DIDN'T do, was an update from Windows7.  Instead, I've done a completely fresh install to a separate drive and made it dual boot to Win7

 

This of course, means new installs for flight sims, but I've managed to get Win7 and Win10, to both use the same installation files;-)

Per the EULA, you're actually not allowed to have both Windows 7 and Windows 10 installed on the same computer (assuming your W10 license came from the upgrade).
