Help adding a DME to the virtual cockpit

Recommended Posts

Here is a panel cfg that adds a DME to the C-185 vitual cockpit. It is however an extensive mod as it also adds dual GTN 650s and a full ILS guage. You could sub some NAV1 and Nav 2 radios for the GTN if you wanted.

Very nice thank you! I have the Unlimited Reality XP license, so I will try to sub in 2x 430's or 1 430 and a radio stack. Is that DME gauge from the Carenado 206? I dont have the MAAM gauge either, where is that from? Is there another alternative I could use, something freeware? Id have to check if I purchased the 206. How is the night lighting with that different panel layout?

The ILS guage comes from the MAAM-Sim DC-3 for FS9. Any older vc ILS should work, same for the DME. The guages need to before folks started adding them to the model. I think the RXP 430s should fit right in.

Can you help me fit this somewhere in the panel? off to the side like the lower right in the empty circle right below the RPM gauge

I like this basic setup below, but cannot find something to replace the large default Carenado ADF gauge.

What aircraft are you going to get the DME and ADF radio from? If I have that aircraft I will try for you. I do not know if the ADF guage can be placed in the open spot on the right side of the panel. That is why I gave up the fuel flow guage and put the MP Guage it its place with ADF guage under the VOR heads. I would try if I have the source aircraft for the DME amd ADF.

The A2A C172R has a good dme gauge, I do not know if it works adding it to another aircraft. I will try. How do you edit night lighting so the panel lights up properly at night with different gauges?
