The only time I see bouncing is with FSDT scenery, it is really bad in their older releases. Ergo, I presume it is a mesh or ground polygon issue, probably with the obsolete method they used for z-biasing. Tweaking the aircraft.cfg in the manner suggested should adversely affect the handling or performance of the aircraft, I wouldn't recommend it.

Yep. Definitely don't go messing with cfg files unless you're willing to accept adverse behavior as a result.
