  • Ok fine, let us who think it is a problem and "want to be right" discuss it then. Apparently you have nothing of importance to contribute with, even though both Active Sky developers and REX work to c

I see no popcorn clouds in v3 using default clouds but this is only with using the product for a couple of weeks now.  I did see repeating cloud patterns when I used to use REX so I stopped using them.

I don't have any issues with default clouds and Opus. Stefano does raise a good point though...!

I can't remember ever having popcorn clouds. Must be the kind of weather or season I like to fly in with ASN.

I've never had this 'popcorn' cloud issue either.

Popcorn clouds occur naturally in the real world

Yes they do but they look different in the sim and they do not occur very often. Probably an individual problem for me but I already tried different sets of clouds but it didn´t help.

So then, exactly WHAT is your problem? The fact that they are THERE or the fact that to you they don't look realistic?

They are THERE because the metar says they are there - realistic is in the eye of the beholder - keep changing cloud sets until you find one you like OR if you know how - create your own.

Anyone who has flown considerably IRL has seen them.

I *think* what you are trying to say is that in the picture above there are popcorn clouds but no two look alike - in the sim when there are popcorn clouds you can see a repeating cloud structure.

I have flown commercially for years and have seen them all the time. I guess I should have asked the pilot if he could change them for me.
