October 23, 201510 yr Trying to look for that emoticon that shakes head in disbelief. lol The topic title is "is there any change of having the engines back". The answer was clearly stated numerous times no for the reasons its not real life so why would it be in the sim. Maybe the topic should have been "why did pmdg remove the engines". Until a Rw 737 pilot can confirm or pmdg can state why they removed the engine whether its for what everyone is saying or for some other reasons T I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg
October 23, 201510 yr To find out if you should be able to see the engines seems trivial to me: create a faithfully accurate 3D model of the aircraft (which PMDG has done), then place the camera in the flightdeck looking back, and see what it looks like. Anyone can try this out. You can even get a finished model to play around with: http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-model/737-600/
October 23, 201510 yr Commercial Member Dave, et al, Yesterday afternoon, the modeling team went looking at this and found that we did indeed remove the engines from the 600 VC accidentally. You can BARELY see them... and only by really pressing your head against the window of the airplane- but they were there in the initial release and subsequently disappeared. Best we can figure it happened about 18-24 months ago in our internal tracking and it happened because of a scripting problem during the model builds. Since the 600 is the only airplane with the engines, it was accidentally left out of the process that we use to construct all of the model pairings at build time. We will add them back in to a future update... but I can't really say what/when that will be. (Don't confuse installer updates with product updates either- just to be clear. We are continually updating our installation logic of late- but the core product isn't changing...) I'll see what we can throw together- but i can't promise you when as we are swamped in 4 engine airplanes at the moment. In the mean time- I think a few of you should take a look through this thread and ask yourselves why you were so hard on the poor fellow who asked the question in the first place? Did the issue really require such emotional position taking? Probably not. Something to think about. He had a question and it was a valid one. Be nice to one another. Robert S. October 23, 201510 yr LOL!!! Why on earth should someone pay 200$ on a 3Dmax model when with 80$ i buy the PMDG add-on?!? Hmm... because PMDG doesn't have any engines? :Applause:
