Hi guys;

I was wondering if it is possible to remove the section around the GPS500 that contains the buttons.

I have the buttons all keyed on my keyboard,and would like just the map to show.

Is this possible ???

Thanks

Are you thinking of a popup window?

You can make the GPS500 bigger than the window, and

the bezel will be cut off.

Thanks Bert;

What I had in mind was placing the gps (after removing the bezel) in the open area on the panel in front of the passenger side of the default 172.

Am I dreaming....or is this possible ??

I have it as a pop-up now near the bottom left of the pilot.

Can you explain how to go about removing the bezel.??

Thanks

In the virtual cockpit... cannot be done, unfortunately.

In the popup, experiment with making the Width,Height bigger

gauge00=fs9gps!gps_500,          X,Y,Width,Height

[Window02]
size_mm=456,378
window_size=0.5
position=8
BACKGROUND_COLOR=0,0,0
VISIBLE=0
ident=GPS_PANEL
zorder=4

//gauge00=fs9gps!gps_500,            0,0
gauge00=fs9gps!gps_500,          0,0,520,458

To fine tune:  Trial and error with the actual numbers, reload the airplane for each test..

Hey Bert, not trying to hijack this thread here, but I gotta know. Which SDK did that cool "zorder" reference come from?

From the SDK:

zorder Determines the order of appearance of the panels on the screen. Takes values from 0 (bottom) to 100 (top).

https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc526956.aspx

Yup...that's it! I've been using the FS2004 SDK installable downloads. The ones which contain the original Word documents, TrafficToolbox.dll, etc. A search in the "Panels SDK.doc" did not reveal a zorder parameter!

I think I'll start using the on-line ESP pages as well...

Thanks Bert!
