Any tips to get better fps with ORBX PNW Prepar 3D v3?

Featured Replies

For the most part my FPS are lower using PNW as expected but still smooth and steady. Something about the immediate Seatlle area, though, just murders performance where similarly dense areas don't give quite the hit.

Yea same here Seattle also makes me OOM in 2.5 all the time. I remember one of the Orbx guys saying it was the cranes in the port that cause the low FPS. Why they didn't just remove them Ill never know.

Set Water = Medium

Turn OFF Terrain shadows

Turn OFF SimObject shadows

If they tell us which files are the cranes, we could remove them

Estonia Migration tool has been updated for v3 compatibility so installing almost anything should be no issue...

I only see the v2.5 migration tool? Is there one for v3?

They are the ones in the port of Seattle.

Short-n-sweet

1. Lower your settings.

2. Raise your hardware specifications.

3. Try different scenery.

Turn off computer, go for a motorcycle ride....
