Extended DSF

Recommended Posts

Extended DSF need more or less all of it, but if your computer has resources it will only need a small amout of RAM and even less VRAM. But the CPU and GPU have to decide which sections of the additional DSFs they really need and these resources have to be transfered via the busses.

I am looking at the same decision. Currently have a GTX780 3GB

Have a buyer lined up and looking at the 980TI.

One sweet solution was the 6 GB version of 780 cards .... They were only offered for a few months, and then disappeared ... I have one of those in my system and it is keeping up with the high performance demand quite nicely.

I just tried ebay for one, still at £300!

If I could get one for £250, I would.

Problem is, go for a 980ti now, or wait until next year for a 10 series :/

The only reasons to wait until next year is if it's not in the budget, or if the current new generation is a 'dud'.  Otherwise, you'll always have that 'wait until next year and get the xxxx' problem!

I'm very happy with my 980ti.

very true. i am very close to biting the bullet ;-)

If I can sell this GTX 770 4GB for £200, that will sway me :)
