Anyone know what impact mesh density has on VAS usage?

I'm wondering about what to expect if I installed the highest mesh resolution available for v2.4.  Right now I'm using FSGensis mesh from 6 or 7 years ago vintage, but I don't recall what density it is for the USA.  And while we're here, what's considered the best highest resolution mesh for P3D V2-3.

I got the entire world suite including the last "different-higher-res-but I don't-remember the -name, "Mesh" before he sold the company. I am not sure there is better mesh...I believe it was interpolated from the SRTM mission back in the '90s.

 

 

I would hold onto yours until you are sure that the new mesh you are considering is indeed a higher resolution and as complete as FSGenesis is/was …
