G1000 GFC700 - FLC mode?

Hi, I notice on the product page that the Mindstar G1000 comes with a GFC700 autopilot unit.

 

Could you please confirm whether this GFC700 has (realistically) working FLC mode included (ie.. that adjusts pitch to maintain speed, rather than using an autothrottle workaround) ?

FLC only exists in the airframes that had it installed, but yes it's a correctly designed speed hold.

Thanks. So to clarify, if I purchased the G1000, for use in the Eaglesoft DA-42, could I use the GFC700 in place of the KAP140?    (earlier G1000 DA-42's used the KAP140, later models use the GFC700).
