Default location of ATC window

Recommended Posts

Hello there,

I am pretty sure that this will be answered immediately  :wink:

As we now have the ATC window back in the PMDG 777 I would like to change the default position.

I always want to have it in the upper left corner and a lot smaller than the default.

Pretty sure there is a config XML for this somewhere, but I do not know where.

Please help me :)

Thanks a lot in advance!

Stefan

Any easy way to change it is to load your default flight, open the ATC window, resize and position it to where you want then save the flight as default again.

The ATC window has always been available in the 777, surely?

Not sure what you mean, but the ATC window was gone with P3D V3 and is now back with a trick posted by LM. See here: http://www.avsim.com/topic/476501-a-temp-fix-for-pmdg-atc-window-problem/

Saving and loading of a default flight gives me some problems in V3, see here: http://www.avsim.com/topic/476136-strange-p3d-v3-startup-problem/

So I would prefer a solution in a config file  :smile:

You didn't say you meant the P3D version. I can't help you with that.

Your best bet is an answer from these guys here, since that's a P3D function and not something we manipulate: http://www.prepar3d.com/forum/

Also, full names in your posts, please - first and last.

Oh sh....

I would bet I posted this to the Prepar3d General Forum...

I thought that this is a P3d config, not a PMDG config, sorry!

Maybe someone can move this topic.

Sorry again, my bad!

Edit: just reported the thread so it can be moved.

Best regards,

Stefan Wiesmayer

I can move the thread, technically, but I can't move it between entirely different websites. The Prepar3D forum I linked to is not run by AVSIM.

Hi guys,

I found it.

Go to your missionpanels.cfg:

[Window00]
window_size             = 0.1, 0.25
window_pos              = 0, 0 ; TOP LEFT Corner
background_color        = 0, 0, 0
alpha_blend             = 0.00
ident                   = ATC_WINDOW
scaleform_file          = MenuWindow ; Use the generic menu window scaleform content
scaleform_instance_name = ATC ; Provide a unique instance name
