Well guys, the screen shot published shows the "test" page for the Yoke, where you can test that all controls work but.... I see no "calibration" button!

FWIW I just "upgraded" to windows 10 and I'm using precision flight controls yoke + pedals. You can calibrate them under the settings tab. I also have the saitek trim wheel, but I am only able to "test" it. So it must be a saitek issue but I haven't looked into it yet.

Probably just have to load a saitek driver but I'm all set with that

I would highly recommend just shutting the controls off in the sim and using FSUIPC to control your controls....that sounded dumb...

Haha, we're all control freaks when it comes to controllers.

But, if you are a dumb Swede like me, where can I find a GOOD tutorial how to set up FSUIPC? YES I know what Google and YouTube is but NOT what is good or bad.

This tutorial helped me a lot in setting up controllers with FSUIPC.

http://www.fsrijnmond.nl/PDF%20bestanden/FSUIPC%204.45%20EN%20+TUTORIAL.pdf

It was written about 4 years ago, and may not address some of the new features that have appeared in FSUIPC since then, but it is still a good read. It was written for setting up CH products controllers in particular, but is applicable to pretty much any USB controller for flight sim use.

Well, something rather strange has happened with my controller issues in P3D v3. I have been grounded ever since I installed the new version because all of my aircraft were pulling severely to the right. However, I recently noticed that adding the 4.947c update to FSUIPC 4.947 resulted in the same "rudder hard over to the right" problem that I experienced in P3D v2.4 at one stage (until a fix was released). So, I removed FSUIPC completely......and noted that the controller calibration issue had significantly reduced. I could now get the plane off the ground, with only a very slight turn to the left noticeable. Even this was corrected by recalibrating the joystick. I have since done more tests, and the plane seems to be taking off and climbing out on a steady bearing. There is a possible indication of a minute drift to the left (the bearing slipped from 246 to 245 after a couple of minutes), but this could simply be my imagination (or some consequence of the weather setting, even though it is set to calm and clear with zero windspeed).

So, in short......it looks like I have regained control of my aircraft in P3D v3, but I really don't know how it has happened. The controller issue was evident before I installed FSUIPC at all, so why uninstalling this would make a difference is anyone's guess  I will now attempt a short circuit at one of my airports, and see if everything is working correctly.

It seems that this "fix" is only apparent with the PMDG 737NGX. All of the default planes still turn sharply to the right as I accelerate down the runway. I have also noticed (after a quick test flight at EGLC London City) that the plane feels "lighter" than it did in P3D v2.4. However, I noticed some further issues.....

* The altitude setting in ATC is now "999" (rather than "1013"), and that seems to result in incorrect altitude callouts, and an incorrect reading on the altimeter.

* The throttle is now extremely difficult to adjust with my CH Flightstick Pro at very low power settings (when in taxi mode).

* The AI strobe and navigation lights have been fixed. Finally I could see other planes in the sky!

* VAS management has definitely been improved. The settings and detail that I had on display during this flight would have killed P3D v2.4 stone dead every time, but this one was flawless.

That being the case, it would seem that I still do have controller problems that need to be fixed, but for some reason they are not affecting the PMDG 737NGX to the same extent as the rest of the planes. I would be interested to know why the altitude pressure setting has changed. Is that another issue, or is it related?

EDIT: More tests, and it seems that it's the wind that is causing the "swerve to the right" problem with the Beechcraft Baron (this is my default flight aircraft). I reset the wind speed to zero, and the problem vanished. What puzzles me is that this was not the case prior to today's tests, and the effects of wind were also nowhere near as much as this in P3D v2.4.

Consider me baffled
