XPX.41, and my new main squeeze...the Cirrus SR-20 night op's...

Featured Replies

I've had this plane up and running great upon my system for about two days..and with reading the extensive manual...well done, Mario...and being in Student Mode...find this plane and all its visual features (like navigation lights reflecting beautifully off of the tarmac in HDR mode, etc) just a beauty to own, and fly. Here is one of my night op's in getting to learn about the aircraft..and see what's up its sleeve for day and night ops.  It demands a good system and healthy graphics card...for a reason.  Lots of things happening and available to you, seen, and not so apparent.

Night op's...one of XP's strongest, and powerhouse moves...

Nights op's, with this air-frame beaut...:)

I've tried X-Plane several times, I never could get it to run smooth and look good, but it has one thing over the others in that they sure nailed the night lighting, it does look great !

Jymp....it can be done.  You need to invest the time to try out all combinations of the visual rendering controls. Also, Terra Haze (.lua engine and script driver) Is a must have, simply a must have add on, for XPX.41. It will transform feel, mood, and atmpospherics...haze, fog...simply required!!!!!  Run that, alonside SkyMaxx v3.0...and well...drop-dead gorgeous skies and mists.....

So, give it another go. For instance, I can run XP flat out full open with all my less resource intense (less features too, of course) air frames, but with this beaut, I had to drop down my rendering to around the 70 percent (full open) mark. No biggie...still looks great, and as you can see...can pull and keep near my locked 30 fps rating, night or day ops.  So...with my dated but still most capable system...XPX.41 can look fabulous, run fabulous...and all is a win/win.

I encourage you to give it another go.  I love all of them. I use all of them...but with each passing day...with more and more, and more coming on-board, air-frames, scenery, vector, mesh, for the XP franchise...I am, quite frankly, putting in many, many more hours of my simulation time budget, into the XP franchise.  Again I use and enjoy each platform's strong suits...but XP...well..it just keeps drawing me back...for the first flight of the day, and for the last, for it is truly, ....so truly, that good!

Salute,

Mitch
