Landing Lindbergh CL30 night (one)

Recommended Posts

Just a quick shot showing how lovely the XP10 night lighting is!  I'm running four different sims these days (FSX, P3D 2/3, XP10) but I recommend everyone at least try the XP10 demo (KSEA area) - the nighttime flying in XP10 is something else!  One downside is the uber bright taxiway centerline lighting shown here...  I actually deleted it from my home airport hehe.

Anyway this airport is a freeware KSAN rendition done by "Mister X" available over at xplane dot org.  It's very high quality basically the same as the LVFR KSAN for FSX/P3D.  My PC is getting older (2500K @ 4GHz) but in this shot I was maintaining 25 fps on short final with all the scenery in view.  In P3D I get about 18... FSX about 16.

That's the one part of XP lighting I don't like! Runway and city lights look great, but taxiway lights should not be that visible from the air.

It's typically just taxiway centerline and initially, runway edge lights show up from far away (and the city lights only load at a short ranged LOD).  I'm going to see if there's a way to tweak those taxiway lights.
