Ok i have the view sorted i ticked that setting in P3D but when i change views it flashes ?

The flashing is P3D redrawing the fog

To stop the flashing when changing views in the VC with Ezdok open up Cameras.cfg in a text editor and change the last line in [CameraDefinition.002] to read HotKeySelect=0

The splashscreen?  How about the Scenario screen instead and that is as simple as using your upper menu bar and selecting file, create scenario. :)
