P3D and 2nd monitor

Recommended Posts

Anyone here running P3D with a second small monitor or even any kind?

I had my 2nd monitor setup in FSX working fine i can even go into full screen in FSX without my 2nd monitor going blank basically cutting out

since setting up P3D and going into full screen mode my 2nd monitor now cuts out and goes blank.

Piece of advice. Deal with one problem at a time. Your scattergun posts and efforts aren't going to see you rewarded.

To be of any benefit to your fellow simmer, it would be advantageous if you provided details.

On the display settings page, there is a check box marked "black out desktop" (or similar wording - not at PC at the moment). Make sure that's not ticked.

Have a play with your setting I run two, one above the other, all works fine, Off the top of my head, main screen is run as full screen, and others as blacked out.

Vernon is a huge "benefit" to us "fellow simmers" and it would be more "advantageous" for you to "Focus" on who your replying to before judging them on a post count under 85.

Vernon can ask as many questions as he likes for his personal benefit. Without his input flying the NG would not be the same, so if he wants any help he is more than free to ask so please try to remember this forum is for the benefit of everyone and not for you or I to judge if a post is fit or not. Admins do a good job of that.

Am at work but am sure I have P3D using main screen (Top) as full screen.

What you see below is, open a pop up, right click, unlock, drag to other screen, when in the right place, right click again, lock. =Job done.

One word of warning the one and only problem I have is with FS2Crew it does not really like being moved to 2nd screen.

I don't use ATC anymore I have the FMC there now.

Rather rude post, I should say!   If you read his post it only deals with one topic; his monitor issure.   "Focus:!

The problem i'm having is when i go into full screen P3D switches off my 2nd monitor. Its fine in window mode i can have Vpilot and quitescoop for vatsim on my 2nd monitor. Its just going into full screen my 2nd monitor blanks.

It works perfectly in FSX.

Again of the top off my head, try windowed boarder-less, I think that's an option?

That's strange Vernon - I run two monitors with no problems. I have a 27" for main view and a 22" for other programs like PlanG, ASN, etc. I run in full screen and only time the second monitor goes black is if I had the Blackout Desktop checked.

How do you have the two monitors setup in Nvidia? I have mine set to extend the desktop.
