Saitek X52 and Windows 10

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know if the Win10 X52 drivers resolve the USB 3.0 issues that Win7 had with X52 drivers?  I've yet to migrate from Win7 and this would be a nice incentive for me to do so.

With Win7, to get X52 drivers to install and work properly, one effectively has to disable USB 3.0 functionality at the bios level.  This assumes that one's computer supports USB 3.0, if not it's obviously a non-issue.

Just had this issue on Win10. Here's what worked for me:

Go to Device Manager and find your stick/yoke or a device showing as Unknown Device.

Right click, Update Drivers...

Browse my computer for driver

In the path box, type C:\windows\winsxs and hit enter. This should install the driver generically, then you can run the Saitek driver installer to complete the setup.

Hope this helps someone!

Are the drivers still in beta phase?

Hi,

does the version of SST should be the same as driver version?

I have driver version 7_0_47 and the SST 7_0_53 and have little problems with assignments...but I don't know if it is by version's conflict or something else...

@tantonovitch Tom, I just tried your fix and it worked. The last W10 update totally screwed my Saitek TQ, and today was my third day of trying to fix it. The driver had been removed by the update and wouldn't let me install a new one. I'd forgotten about this forum but I'm pleased to say that all is now well.

Thanks for making that post!

Rob Jones.

This also cured my X52 problem after the anniversary update. Back in business!
