Networked PC Panel Builder instrument inputs are rejected by P3D v3

Recommended Posts

I am currently trying to solve this issue via email with Reinhard from Simplugins and thought that it might benefit others to post the conversation here . . . . .

Hello,
I'm looking for some help with a Panel Builder issue.
My Config ....
P3D V3 on a Win 10 machine
Panel Builder v2.95 on a separate Win 10 machine
(The two pc's are networked via CAT5E and they seem to connect correctly.) Wireless adapters are disabled.

I have reinstalled Simconnect, Panel Builder
3rd Party Addons installed in P3D are PMDG 737 and A2A Cherokee 180.
The following error occurs regardless of the Aircraft selected....

Panel Builder gauges (AI,ALT,VSI etc.) display correctly however any changes I make to the heading bug, OBS, Radios etc. are rejected. The Coms and Nav Radios will not allow switching between STBY and ACTIVE frequencies. When I press the switching button they momentarily switch from STBY to ACTIVE then immediately switch back. Also I am unable to change any frequencies in the NAV or Com boxes. Basically none of my inputs are accepted into P3D.
This does not happen when I close P3D....all gauges behave normally.

Any idea what is going on???

Thanks in advance.
Steve

I'll have a look. It sounds like that data is sent to P3D, but immediately overwritten again.
By the way, what version is the simPlugins SimConnect Interface? It needs to be 2.95 as well.

Reinhard
Hello Reinhard,
Thanks for your quick reply. Yes, simPlugins SimConnect Interface is v2.95.

I can confirm that there is a problem when using a second networked computer for Panel Builder.

It does work when using a single computer.

Also, the FSUIPC Interface seems to work ok. I believe that this has to do with the network performance/speed.

I suggest using the FSUIPC Interface until we have a fix for this.

It could also be a firewall issue.

Hi,

I'm experiencing exactly the same issue on my P3D v3.1 and Panel Builder 2.96 trial.

I does not work for me even when using single PC. My frewall is disabled. I'm using SimConnect.

Please advise.

regards

We are currently re-writing our  Simconnect P3D Interface.

Please use our P3D FSUIPC Interface in the meantime.
