Avoiding loading NOAA data at SLX start

Recommended Posts

Hi Maarten,

At start, SLX loads NOAA data.

I use active sky as weather tool and this is indicated in the p3d profile (directory, weather tool).

In the manual, it is indicated to uncheck an option in Tools → Settings → General → Enable Data Exchange with FS Global Real Weather. But i see nowhere to do this.

So how to avoid these NOAA data loading and where is this option?

Thanks.

Patrice

Hi Patrice,

it's a little bit different:

On the Prepar3d tab of the settings window you can choose the ActiveSky or FSGRW Folder. After that you can choose the weather provider from the drop-down-box below.

Cheers,

Walter

Hi Patrice,

After selecting ActiveSky or FSGRW as weather provider in the settings window, you will still see the notifications of NOAA weather downloads, because these downloads are needed for the Weather window where you can choose between NOAA and ActiveSky/FSGRW weather. Some functionality is disabled until after the NOAA weather has been downloaded because this event marks the end of the construction of the complete UI.

thanks, Maarten
