Evidence of 777 Immersion under Windows 10 and P3Dv3

Recommended Posts

Hi Keven,

I am not sure how to determine whether the program is running. I have started the PMDG 777-300ER engines on the active runway, so had expected to be able to start 777 Immersion.

If I start it, I cannot see it in the Windows 10 Task Manager.

If I restart it, I receive the error message 'Application cannot be started. Contact the application vendor. The .log file I receive contains the text 'Error creating the Web Proxy specified in the 'system.net/defaultProxy' configuration section. The requested service provider could not be loaded or initialized.' I am running .NET Framework MVC 4 Runtime version 4.0.40804.0

Any ideas?

Cheers, Richard

You won't see anything running under Task Manager. You just open the program (while your simulator is not running) and set everything up. If the conditions are right, you should the effects on your sim. ;)

Cheers!

Hi Kevin,

I am still unable to get 777 Immersion to run.

  1. What program and what directory is the program in?
  2. How do I get the program to execute?

Cheers, Richard

When you installed 777 Immersion, the installation must have put an icon on your desktop. Click twice on it, put in your login credentials and run the program. It will update the necessary files on your P3D installation. Then just fly normally. I think you are expecting to have something running while P3D is running (the way, for example, Active Sky Works) but this is different. You run it once, let it do it's thing, and just fly normally, all the effects were installed and will appear if the conditions are right ;).

Cheers!

Hi Stefano,

Ah! Nowhere is this explained in the manual.

I have been trying to start the program whilst running P3Dv3.1 and 777-300ER engines running.

Now everything is clear.

Many thanks,

Richard
