Rudder problem, can't steer during taxy

Recommended Posts

Hi guys I have a big problem with rudder, practically I can't steer the aircraft.

My joystick is calibrated via FSUIPC and rudder axis is perfectly assigned and calibrated and it moves from left (-16883) to right (16883) without any issues in FSUIPC.

But in the sim the the rudder of all my aircrafts moves very little, I can see that the range extension is not complete as usual. And this happens with all aircrafts.

Have you got any suggestion?

Riccardo:

Have you removed all the FSX axis from "Controls" in FSX. There may be a conflict there.

Make sure that "autorudder" isn't turned on.

Make sure that "Yaw Damper" isn't turned on.

On the menu, select Aircraft -> Failures. Look under the Systems tab to see if you've had a gear failure. Even if it doesn't show click the Reset Failures button and save (I usually use the reset failures button on each tab, just to be sure. I'm not sure if one click resets the failures on all of the tabs). See if your gear works.

I once saved a flight after a hard landing. When I loaded the flight at a later time, I couldn't steer the plane. I found that the gear was failed (after a couple of hours wondering what the heck was going on and fooling with stuff trying to fix it).

@Bill, autorudder is off, and YD is aircraft dependant (trike hasn't it, btw I tried on NGX to switch off and nothing change)

@MDFlier: I tried our your suggestion but nothing change, the rudder extension range is very limited.

I can't steer the aircraft, only if I brake when apply rudder I can make a wider steering, but it's not natural and I loose control of the aircraft.
