I'm just settling in for a real-time flight this evening, from KOAK, to KDTW.  This bird is on sale for only $9.00 USF, right now at the .org!!!   Four variations comes with the package, and she is a beaut....

Looks good. I always liked flying in L1011s.

Addition to reply...

In 1998, I took a four day motorcycle ride through southern Utah, Nevada, and Arizona. A bunch of TWA L1011's were parked in storage, at a graveyard airport. Just sitting out there, all by themselves.

How sad, Larry...this is still my favorite real-life aircraft to board for for trans-continental.  She was spacious, and quiet...of course, my Bose Quiet-Comforts helped in that regard, as well (smile).  Well...back to the flight deck...and enjoy the trip....

Great looking sky layers and sunset shots!

Beautiful shots.  I thought that I read somewhere a 3D cockpit was being developed.

There isn't one to date...but honestly, it never slowed me up...one would be great...but certainly not having one, is no deal-breaker. The functions that are there, get you up in the air with FMC navigation.  I put my flight plan into the Tri...and never looked back. This bird will be flown on a regular basis for sure!

If a 3D pit ever comes....all the better! :)

Post Edit:  At night, no cabin windows have light, or show light diffusion.  Lighting at night on the aircraft itself is very nice, with tail logo, etc...but having some cabin lights showing through the window ports, would have been a good virtual immersion boost for sure.
