Voice recognition

I'm flying MJS8-Q400_PRO and want to use your program for it.

However my W7 (64) is a Dutch version, so such a programm is not installed. What to do?

Best solution:

1. Upgrade to Windows 10 (it's free), and download the English - US language pack.

2. Upgrade to Win 7 Ultimate.

3. Try Vistalizator (www.froggie.com).

4. Stick to only Button Control.  Button Control is coming for the Dash 8.

Windows 10 is by far your best option.

Best,

I  have Windows 7 Home Premium sp1 64 bit (Danish) and I downloaded Vistalizator and the MUI for Windows 7 64bit sp1 last week and read the details how to use it. I did what was explained and it changed my Danish Windows 7 language to english-us and speech recognition worked. So now I'm using FS2Crew for PMDG 737 NGX Reboot and it's challenging and fun. I was a little worried before installing this program, so I made a system restore point and a full system copy, but happily I did'nt have to use it :-)

Can't get FS2Crew (voice) to work on on my dutch Windows 10 home version because of the speech recognition error: Speech Recognition coulnd not start because the language configuration is not supported. Is there a work around for this?

You need to download the English US or UK language pack.

Question:  How do I install the English - US language pack in Windows 10?  I tried, but English - US is not visible in the 'Language' drop down menu.

Answer:

1. Go to Settings > Time & language > Region & language.

2. Select "ADD A LANGUAGE TO THIS DEVICE".
3. Select the language you want to use from the list (ENGLISH)
4. Choose which region's version you want to use (ENGLISH - US).
5. Left click on the English US language set, and a new menu should appear.  Then you must click 'OPTIONS' and then click 'DOWNLOAD' under the 'SPEECH ' category.
6. Go to the 'ADVANCED SPEECH OPTIONS' page in the Control panel.
7. English - US should now be visible in the Language drop down menu.
8. Don't forget to train your voice!

Be sure to set English US on this panel!
