Hi,

Happens only when i use this program and it updates the time i guess

Thanks

GET processlaso or similar tool, move all offending addons like realtime to cores not used by p3d.

Laso also allows you to reduce cpu/IO/ and memory resources.

This way resource hungry apps won't eat into fps.

Wow... you get paid by them or something? I mean... this guy's problem has pretty much nothing to do with anything your post states... yet here you are... hawking the same program.

Does it also help with planters warts??

Michael... I have not tried any FS Real Time with Prepar3D... but I will give it a test later today and see if it causes problems for me.

Hello.

I use FsRealTime and I can confirm that (in my setup) it works flawlessly in Prepar3d v3.

The software is frequently updated, usually right after a Fsuipc iteration.

I can only praise FsRealTime. It's been around for a long time and I never had a problem with it.

Thanks but i dont know why it makes P3DV3 freeze/not able to recover but it is related to the software as described in my first post.

Otherwise it seems like a nice utility

The only thing Process Lasso accomplished on my system when I tried it some months ago was to cause sound stutters.

Why do you need FS Realtime with P3D?

I use it to keep the clock sync'd with UTC time.

Plus it corrects several timezone bugs present since FS2004 (FS2000?)...

I'm a little surprised that they didn't fix that.

@WarpD and OP

I recently made a post about how ProATC was literally jarring my P3d whenever there is speech in ATC.

Out of boredom that day, checked process laso cpu core bars and noticed that somer cpu cores where maxing when proatc speaking, I solved this problem by using ProcessLaso in an educated way to spread proatc load to other cores not used by my p3d affinity.

So WaprD and others ProcessLaso is a complex Excellent program that can break your system if use it fater than you learning it, or it can really solve problems when you get stuck, in my case its a must have program for simmers who need almost full control on pc resources.

Don't knock a program just cause you don't know how to use it.

Now I have actually had enough of addons eating into my fps that I moved most abusers to networked laptop and am very impressed. Now I can use ASN moving map, or Fscommander moving map, or even ProATC map with no effect on my server cpu.

For those not ready to network, get ProcessLaso, move addons to cores not used by p3d, set it once forget forever.

Just a few other thing laso does on my Win7 Sim PC.

1. Stop that dreaded thing reminding me to install windows 1984, sorry I meant windows 10

2. Turn off core parking, so all cores work faster

3. Control p3d affinity mask , and addons to other cores

4. Profiles for gaming and normal pc use, allow you to go extreme on what programs lasso turns off in gaming.

5. Use lasso Throttle option for those impossible to kill programs that eat cpu

6. Set not just cpu, but memory and IO  priority for addons, this is  veeeery usefull  for the OP here. IF fsrealtime running  as separate app.

So I don't have shares in Lasso, Its just that, this product keeps coming up as the answer to a lot of questions in this forum.

Learn how to use it, don't knock if impatient with it.

if FsRealTime running as a seprate app, use lasso to to put on some least used core, lower its  cpu/io/memory priority and turn off core parking, see what that does.

Note that not starving and starving addons can lead to stutters, so you have to check and balance.

Get a second monitor so you can be in habit of seeing what your system is doing while flying using tools like lasso, process explorer, cpuz etc I got many freeware types of those. This helps to demystify a lot of issues. Your computer is the engine when flying, get some gauges on that sh*t.

Seriously WarpD is right to accuse of me of selling lasso cause I mention it enough times to be annoying, but in our circles trying to get the most out of cpu, lasso is no brainer MUST HAVE, too powerful so you have to use slowly as you learn it.

just start initially by only using it to set p3d affinity and turn off core parking,  that s better than what many have now. From there Save default profile read the manual play with buttons make your own profiles.

Funny enough just bought fsrealtime but not installed it yet, still testing the move of many cpu hugs to network. ASN,Fscommander,ProATC,AirHauler

Tip for those thinking of networking fscommander, you only need to give it p3d folder on the network, it has a tool you copy in p3d folder so it can build its database there in your p3d folder.

If you have spare laptop hanging loose, network your addons and stop flirting with stutters like WarpD.

   Everything that process lasso can do, can also be done in Windows, for free. As for the Win 10 popups, there are ways to remove the windows updates that installed said popups in the first place. Google and the knowledge of how to use Windows, are much better tools.

 That's just my opinion.

 Now to go back on topic;

@ MichealMoe,  What are you using for traffic?

@Jazzan

There is a ton of stuff in laso not accessible in windows unless you writing win32 API code.

For one thing windows will not remember affinity mask you set for programs, you have to reset it after boot.

And windows will not remmebr what programs you want shut down when p3d starts

UNLESS YOU USING A VERSION OF WINDOWS YET TO BE RELEASED.

Don't knock a good product, Its the answer to the OPs question. Its not free but altleast you can try before buy think it allows 2 weeks or so.

But don't say what you don't know about a p[product too complex for your understanding. I was very impressed when I discovered lasso years ago, and still finding new features in its ton of options.

 @simmer2050,  Granted, process lasso does make some things easier to accomplish. I'm happy to hear that it works for you. But it isn't the "be all; end all" solution

to everything flight sim related, despite your infomercial.
