Indeed, there is some noticeably forum-activity alive here so to speak!

And more to come for sure!

Another hit to the credit card.

I keep seeing people mention credit card about IXEG.. I thought it will be donationware?

EDIT - Seeing their support forum is on X-Pilot,, perhaps I confused it with x737 project

Well, considering IXEG is meant to be, supposedly, close to the PMDG's complexity, I highly doubt it would work as donationware  :Tounge:

That being said, I would love to ask someone knowledgable in the subject about the economy behind such addons.

Hi guys,

release of our plane is close, whatever that means after waiting for 5 years :P .

The dedicated forum is up:

http://forums.x-pilot.com/forum/169-ixeg/

Please note that we also have a new sneak-peak video out on our channel:

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcuYmGFREqwGyHhsYlDPtMA

The plane will of course be payware, a 4 man-team has spent the majority of their free time over the last 5 years on this. Lena asked about the economics behind making add-ons like these - the profit is very slim and delivering newspaper would have yielded a better income/hour, even if every X-Plane user buys a copy.

But this is mostly a labor of love, and we are very proud of what we have achieved so far, even if most of the aircrafts finer features will be lost for the majority of our users. It will be a realistic and serious nuts-n-bolts simulation of the 737-300, and you would need to be a type-rated pilot to fully appreciate the depth of the system simulation.

If failing DC Bus 1 and checking the operation of the remaining equipment with an electrical diagram is your cup of tea, then this plane will be for you. If you like to sit in the passenger seat and look out the window during replay... you can still have fun with it  .

Cheers, Jan

That's what I figured, which only makes me appreciate developers like you guys even more. Saw the videos and as someone who will make B737 Ratings in a nearby future I can't wait to lay may hands on it. Kudos to your entire team!

Just a little note to thank you and the whole IXEG team...before the rush begins.

Well done and congratulations on bringing this colossal project to term.

Jan,

Considering the "niche within a niche" that X-Plane market is at the moment, this is indeed a labour of love. It is fantastic to see developers such as IXEG, FlightFactor, LES, FJS, Rotate, ATS etc. continue to develop and improve a platform that is going from strength to strength and providing a very good alternative to simmers. It is all about choice, all of you are definitely providing quality.

Wish you all the very best.
