Multiple GPUs on a single PC P3D V3

Woukd this work if i installed two GTX980ti's and have a 65" samsung 4k in one 980 and the same model of TV 48" 4k in the other 980? All running on the samr PC. How would i setup P3D so its viewed on my second GPU?

 

i74770k, windows 7, ASUS Z87-A.

Yes, that would work.

Even one card can drive 2 seperate views.

In P3D choose New View , undock it and drag it over to the second monitor.

Resize and you're done.

 

Yesterday I turned of NView because I did not like the stretched side views anymore.

I have 1 Titan X connected to 3 HD tv's.

26-37 fps in the air and 11-16 fps on the ground at a detailed airport ( 25+ with NViSurround )..,

 

I was wondering if a second Titan X connected to the 3rd HD tv would help to get better fps ...

There is always the change that my 5820 processor ( @4.3 ) is the bottleneck with 2 extra undocked views...

I have the budget to get a TITAN X but to run two 4k TVs i think i'm better getting two 980 ti

Surely 2x 980 Ti will give better fps than a single Titan X.

 

Right now I am having 3 HD tv's connected to 1 Titan X with 3 seperate views.

To elevate fps I was thinking to add a Titan GTX or Titan Black to the system to drive 1 HD tv , so the Titan X would drive 2 HD tv's.

( Titan X performs twice as good as rbe Titan GTX/Titan Black ).

 

The question is : with 3 seperate views ( 2 undocked ) is the graphics card the bottleneck or the cpu...

One more thing to keep in mind, as I recently discovered, is that SLI charges you some CPU overhead. It's true in benchmarks and real-world P3D usage. I'm finding around a 7-8% loss of FPS in CPU-bound situations...

Beau posted once that when using multiple monitors with multiple grahics cards only graphics card bound features will benefit , like : shadows and tesselation.  

 

Therefore I am wondering if an extra graphics card will help at a detailed airport , as it may be more cpu bound.

Well i'm hoping two GTX980ti will run two 4k TVs nicely. I have no experience in this whatsoever!

I am very curious if your fps will go up when driven 2 seperate views by 2 seperate graphics cards vs 2 seperate views driven by 1 graphics card.

Especially at a detailed ariport.

 

Please keep us posted.
