yes it is

Remove it, or turn off the PMDG-related options in the EMT config file and give that a try.

And thanks! Glad they helped!

Kyle Please forgive my ignorance. in lew of removal,  the option of turning off in the EMT file,, i am not aware of what the EMT file is. I am somewhat adept at the software and can navigate and make adjustments in the DLL and config files but have never ran into the EMT can you please give more direction that i will follow to the letter.  I have had many an occasion to utilize the migration tool to get a program to install and has made my life easier. i am sure i can live without it if I had to chose between but would like to keep the option to leave it in place.

As always thanks for the help.

Look up file MigrationTool.cfg in Migration Tool's install folder (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Flightsim Estonia\Migration Tool). Open it woth Notepad, change line PMDG777=1 to PMDG777=0, save the file and start Prepar3D.

I've never used it, so I was just guessing, since I knew it had the 737 line. Disable it for v3 entirely, at least to get the plane to install (or uninstall it entirely).

So the fact that the 777 installed means that the EMT was messing around with your computer. The errors may be stemming from lasting effects of its use. Did you install it using their uninstaller, or did you try to remove it in some other way? Either way, the tool was preventing the install, and I'm willing to bet that this continued issue is related to it. If you can't figure it out, you may want to consider wiping the P3D install and starting fresh.

Kyle EMT is gone from the system and i did a reinstall of the P3D Client. reinstalled 777 and did some testing. If the 777 is the start up aircraft P3D will not Start and will crash. If i open to a different aircraft then load 777 all is good and as far as i know.  All the click spots work plane flys and AP seems to operate (no flight plan just flew with heading, speed and ALT holds.)  if i try and use my FSUIPC saved last flight as my default start up we are dead on start up and i need to uninstall 777 to get P3D to start up. I am in no way shape or form a software guy but this just seems like a software problem on the 777 side. I have done many a full clean start install but right now i have everything in p3d working like a charm. To get to this point where it all works has been i task so to start over make me cringe.

This trial and error could have been avoided by reading the Intro Manual, which states that you should not use our aircraft as the default, and to not load it over itself (which is what happens when it's set as default). For P3Dv3, ensure that the sim loads to the Scenario Setup screen. From there, load whatever saved flight, or create whatever scenario that you wish.

Kyle

I read this, and made some bad assumptions, i always used the scenario start screen and still do but the FSUIPC saved flight was the Default which placed the 777 as the default AC. i did not put this together. I have removed this as the default and will run to see how it all works.  Thanks for you patience with the old man, I am just returning to flight sim after a lifetime away I think i chose the perfect time as the development of products like PMDG and P3D are really showcasing how far a home set up can go. With a great community of people like you helping and making videos I am having a much easier time with the learning curve.

One last question if i may, I am running AS Next as my weather engine is there any setting up to make the Weather radar function ?

Thanks Lee Summer

Last post of this thread for me, i ran the sim as per the detail in the manual and it works perfect. Amazing Aircraft level of detail is incredible. I did the full tutorial to the letter and i must say it really helped get me on the right path to learning the in and out of this amazing work of art. I was a little hesitant to purchase but i feel it was worth every penny.

START SIM WITHOUT THE 777 AS THE CHOSEN PLANE USE ANY OTHER NON COMPLEX AC THEN CHOOSE THE 777 AND IT WORKS PERFECT.

HAPPY CUSTOMER
