Can't activate 737 immersion into steam version

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I bought 737 Immersion & PrecipitFX yesterday. When I go to activate the immersion package into FSX SE I find that SE is greyed out but original steam isn't. I don't have original installed only SE. Also P3D V3 is greyed out and I have that installed. Hopefully its something silly that i've done but could anyone point me in the right direction?? Theres a screenshot here

Many Thanks

Hi Mark,

If you are familiar to the Registry Editor, let me know what paths are located in the following entries:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\10.0

Key: SetupPath

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\DovetailGames\FSX

Key: Install_Path

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2

Key: SetupPath

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3

Key: SetupPath

Something might be wrong in your registry configuration.

Let me know the results or if you need help getting those!

Hi Keven,

I think i've done it correctly but I have none of those files listed. Microsoft is there (obviously) but no Microsoft Games in there. as you can see from the screen shot here

Thanks

Mark

Hi Mark,

My mistake, I forgot how stupid Microsoft is when it comes to registries...

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\10.0

Key: SetupPath

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\DovetailGames\FSX

Key: Install_Path

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2

Key: SetupPath

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3

Key: SetupPath

Same issue for me.

Only sees regular FSX though after installing works ok I guess.

Also when launching first time it asked me to add to trusted A320 Immersion and I don't have A320 Immersion :)

We fixed the naming today, running VFXCentral will fix the issue!

Hi Mark,

Sorry for the long reply, it seems like everytime I want to go on the forums, I'm unable to access it...

Very odd situation...

Can you contact us through our support page (https://fsfxpackages.com/en/support/)? We'll need more info and might have to do a Remote Control session.

Regards,

Keven

Hi Keven,

No worries. I think it is working even though SE doesn't illuminate. I have just been through some pretty cloudy stuff and landing lights looked beautiful!! Guess I just wasn't in the right weather. I will check some snow n rainy weather later and report back. In hind sight I probably should of checked this first. Thanks for your assistance,

Mark Callison
