Oh heavens no, lol. Merely the temptation - since seeing those reflection shots! Can I give up my GTN for a while for the reflections? It's like that horrible song from the 80s, "He's an old hippy and

On... but looks a whole lot better!

Yes indeed ... nice screenshot!

Cheers, Rob.

I've seen some screenshots recently with P3d V3 that are approaching photorealism. This is one of them.

^ With FSX I used SweetFX and Shade to try get that photorealism, but with P3dv3.1... it just works.  Finding the right DR settings brings this to light. No Reshade or other programs are necessary.

If you want to see one of the best examples of realism for FSX... check out John's (Warbirdsim) pics here.

Also, can get the "Sierra Sue II" repaint.

FYI, sky texture sets will also play a huge roll in overall visual impact on just about everything from water to land to darkness of clouds ... one needs to be very careful with them (some FSX sky textures will play havoc with P3D).  I used to use Gabriel Rodriques and Pablo Diaz sky textures (available in AVSIM library) but they will turn clouds dark gray at dusk and make the entire 3D environment darker and produce gray banding in certain weather visibility scenarios.

With that said, P3D dusk sky textures are not to my liking (dawn is ok, but dusk is way off the mark IMHO).

Is that a Grumman G21?

Cheers, Rob.

I hear you on that (dusk/dawn).  I did purchase the REX 4 with Soft clouds recently ($22 on sale), so going to tinker with that.

Yep, default FSX Goose with Redux upgrade by Ozx.

Manfred's C-47 with reflections, showing clouds. Also, like the shadow effects on the crew!

AA seems to be the same with DR on or off.

Great shots and agree that there is no difference there but you will certainly notice the the drop in AA quality if you look at things like runway lines and numbers.

^ I do agree with that sadly.

+1...but that mustang sure does look purr-ty with its glossy new reflections.

Rob I hope LM fixes the AA problem with real reflections but not be a priority item though.
