After new installer: Cabin Windows are not transparent!

Recommended Posts

Hi!

I downloaded the new installers for my 777LR and 777-300ER and uninstalled the previous versions completely. After that installed both products with the new installers. I´ve got non transparent windows on both products now. I can´t see through the windows, can´t see the cabin interior etc. I thought that something is wrong with my liveries but the problem is still there with the default PMDG livery.

Can someone help me? Is there a way to fix this Problem?

Hi.

FSX. First i thought that the alphachanel of my livieries are broken. I checked this with photoshop and its fine. Even the default PMDG livery has this problem.

Maurice,

Thanks...  Looking into it.

Thank you Robert ;-).

Maurice,

No- Jason thinks it is something broken in the export.  He is looking into it and we will update again once he ascertains a fix.

Thank you! I´m sure you´ll find the fix for this. But still thank you for updating the T7. It´s my favourite aircraft and i was stunned by this bird when i saw an emirates 777-300ER at the airport of Dusseldorf. These engines  are outstanding :-o.

Robert, are there any news about some fixes for this issue? I uninstalled both products (777LR and 77W) completely, so i can install the new, fixed installer.

Maurice-

Once Jason sorts out why the exporter isn't working as expected, we will update you.  It doesn't impact anything other than the visibility of the cabin windows...  the rest of the airplane works just fine.

Yes. I´m sure that this bird works fine systemwise. And the window issue isn´t an "big" Problem but i want to enjoy the outsiteview of your stunning work while i´m at cruise FL from time to time. And sadly i have to focus my view on the windows now, because i know the "window issue" :-D. It´s a bad personal character trait of mine for focus on existing problems which affect the external view. You shouldn´t come with me if i wanna buy a new car, for example: You wouldn´t have the nerves for this  :Silly:  .

I´m sure you´ll find a solution soon. The Fact that most of the costumers doesn´t even noticed this "issue" shows me that it´s not a thing most people focuses on.

I can report that it's also present in FSX:SE.

Tried the default paints as well as ones I've painted and they exhibit the same behavior.

Yes. This was the first step i did, too. I first thought that my liveries has had broken alpha channels but after i saw that the default PMDG liveries has the same issue, i was sure that there could be a problem with the update. I´m sure PMDG will fix this soon.

True Chris, but it would be nice to have the few observation windows transparent so we can check our wings for ice.

I'll just fly freighters until they do, hehe.

The update sure enough reduces the VAS load, (under 3G at KLAX now....) great job PMDG!

Ok. I hope that the VAS reduction is not caused by the untransparent windows and disappear if they fix the windows...hehe...little joke. They´ll fix this problem soon, i´m sure.

Hej

I have the same problem so I hope PMDG sorts it out soon, which I am sure they will do... Does not seem right flying at night with no cabin lights :o(
