PMDG 777: External Shadows disappearing when getting closer to the Aircraft

When I am using PMDG 777 on DX10 with HD Shadows (Airlines Only) as setting, the 3D-external shadow disappears when i get closer to the aircraft. Can anyone help me to solve that? Thanks

With HD shadows enabled the shadows cease to work properly for external view cameras that are within the wingspan of the aircraft.

 

Zooming the spot camera however should be ok - but not moving the camera position close to the aircraft.

 

If you press the diagnostics button it will remind you of the side effects of HD shadows.
