September 16, 200520 yr Hello Guys, I have a question for you.I lost en entire day trying to make Rob Barendregt sonic boom gauge (both visual and audio) work with Kirk Olsson F-16 Viper but there was nothing I could do about it.The gauge triggers the sound but not the visual effect.I even stripped the F-16 panel of all of the gauges, instruments, effect, afternurner, anything...no gauges other than the Rob Barendregt one but still nothing....it triggers the boom sound but not the cloud.I linked the visual affect to the cockpit lights to see if the effect appeared and it works...I can see the cloud when i turn the light but is not triggered by the gauge. The gauge is linked to the cabin light (#10) I even tried to change light code assigment in the XML code but nothing...no cloud.I tested the gauge in an other plane (the F-104 made by Rey Lopez, and panle of Marco Spada) and it works, cloud + sonic boom!!Sounds like black magic to me.Do you have any ideas???? I run out of mine already, it's so frustrating!!!!Thank you in advance!!!Regards
September 17, 200520 yr Assuming you are using FS2004 (the gauge doesn't work in FS2002 since light #10 is new in FS2004 !):Since you state the visual effect works OK in other aircraft and the "boom" sounds IS audible (which means that the gauge is working properly), the most likely reason is a wrong light number in the aircraft.cfg.Make sure that the light.** is unique, AND that ** is in the range 00 - 18 (FS2004 only supports 19 lightdefinitions !).If # 00 - 18 ARE allready used, you have to sacrifice an exiting light definition I'm afraid.Cheers, Rob Barendregt
