Transponder during taxi not working?

Recommended Posts

Hi Bryan,

I've recently noticed that my transponder is no longer being set to 'TA' during taxi.  I've triple-checked this over the past five flights or so, making sure the briefing has ASDEX set to yes.  It also doesn't seem to make a difference if the "Use TARA" option is set to yes or no.  The transponder is still turned on/TARA when doing the before-entry-procedure.  This is using v1.7 with the latest T7 version.  All other FS2Crew functions seem to be fully operational.

Thanks for your thoughts...

Edit:  I should probably add, this using Prepar3D v3.1 on Win10x64Pro.

That's what I mean, he's not doing it before taxi and I'm completing all the checklists on every flight. He doesn't touch the transponder knob until the 'entry procrdure'.

Bryan,

Could this bug also contribute to not leaving the transponder ON after landing, despite briefing that the airport does have ASDE?

I just looked at the code.

I don't see any obvious issues in the After Landing flow section.

What do you have set on the Approach Brief panel for ASDEX?

And what do you have set for the TARA ASDEX option?

Bryan,

My fault, sorry about that. Although the Approach Brief did have ASDEX selected, the TARA ASDEX option was turned off. Must have missed it when clicking through all the individual options.

I just looked at the code.

It's a bug that got introduced in V1.7.

I'll fix it in the next update.

Thanks for the report.

Cheers,

Bryan,

Was this fixed in V1.8?

Don't see it mentioned in the change log, and still have the issue in v1.8.

That bug got missed for V1.8.

At any rate, I just fixed it.

Please send me a Support ticket via: www.fs2crew.com

I'll send you the update gauge with the fix.

Cheers,

Hi Bryan,

Just to let you know, with the updated gauge, the FO is now doing his job properly.

Thanks again.
