Button Desktop panel not installing

Recommended Posts

Just made attempt #5 to re-install the Button Version v2.3 in FSX-SE(on its own, not side-by-side),and it does not show up on the desktop or in All Programs, but the Uninstall options do show in All Programs. No desktop Configurator. The desktop only shows the PDFs and the Monet Off PDF. What is going on? It installed in P3D previously without a hitch, but for the time being since installing Windows 10 Pro have reverted to FSX-SE.

Suggestions/ help/ ??, please.

Did you select the FSX SE install option in the FS2Crew Installer?

Did the installer auto-detect the correct location of the main FSX folder?

Only other thing I can think of is your Anti virus nailed it.  Try disabling your anti-virus and try again.

Brian, the only option I could see was:

  • FSX Steam side-by-side with FSX, which I do not have, so opted for FSX. That did not work
  • I tried FSX Steam side-by-side....................................................................That too did not work
  • Installer located the current Steam directory location without issue.
  • Did try disabling the AV first attempt
  • Will try disabling and re-stalling again.

Thanks.

Follow-up.

Still the same scenario, and with the AV disabled, yet the 777 FS2Crew installed no problem.

Sorry, I should have spotted this in your first post...

You realize that  there is no stand-alone Config Manager for the Airbus version.

The "enable FS2Crew" button is built directly into the Aerosoft Airbus Configurator.

Problem solved :-)

Cheers,

I'm sure I saw it when installing the P3D version. Is it different for that platform?

And you're so right. All working now, just tested.

Thanks, Bryan. :im Not Worthy: :im Not Worthy: :im Not Worthy:
